HOW IT WORKS

Initial Consultation 


Consultation to identify client’s organizing needs and goals, and to determine the start date, session length and schedule of our sessions. Usually by video call.

This is the organizing process onsite.

  • Organizing sessions are generally four hours each (it can depend on the project). 
  • The total cost and time of a project depend on factors such as the quantity of items, and the speed of client’s decision making regarding what to keep, discard or donate.

This is the organizing process onsite.

  • Organizing sessions are generally four hours each (it can depend on the project). 
  • The total cost and time of a project depend on factors such as the quantity of items, and the speed of client’s decision making regarding what to keep, discard or donate. 
  • Organizing sessions require the participation of the client unless otherwise agreed. It is crucial, since client is the only one who can make decisions about their belongings. I help the client with making decisions and keeping them motivated and focused. 
  • I will not throw anything out without the client’s permission. I help the client make decisions, but the final decision is always by the client. The client is responsible for any loss or damage resulting from discarding or destroying of any records or personal things. 
  • I can pace our work schedule over several weeks to work within client’s time or budget limitations. For periods between sessions, I can set tasks for the client to accomplish on their own to save time and money and keep the momentum going.
  • For sessions to be successful the client should plan for handling incoming phone calls, childcare, etc. so that sessions are not interrupted.
  • Private items: The things that client thinks I shouldn’t see should be placed somewhere else before our arrival. 
  • Exclusions: Organizing Mode LLC does not provide housecleaning, removal of debris or donations, assembly of furniture, shelving, closet systems, moving of heavy furniture, or any similar type of activities, unless agreed separately, in writing.

Follow-up 


After client has had the opportunity to test the new organizing system, it is important to evaluate how the system is working. Within 30 days of implementation, Organizing Mode LLC will provide a 30-minute follow-up session.
